She recalls when, very young, she would rather smell roses, jasmine, and flowers around the house than play with her toys. After studying chemistry, she immigrated to New York and joined the IFF laboratories where she learned her trade with Ernest Shiftan, one of the greatest American perfumers in history. She was the first perfumer to reverse the classic proportions of perfumes. Sophia Grojsman is also famous for her fascination for roses, which she uses in most of her creations. At Frederic Malle's request, she applied herself for the first time to the art of scented candles. Launch year: 2007. Design house: Frederic Malle. Series: Outrageous. Gender: Ladies.
